Yes, it rained all day.
I am out of any real time tonight as I was attending a mini party for a close person becoming a citizen of the United States. Very cool.
There are about 3 major stories out today that have real significance going forward, and the big IPO of the company I will not name is not one of them. Shiny objects tend to get the attention however.
I do have a position in mind as Sara Lee (SLE) is at a marked area where I am interested in the stock. I will review tonight.
Only 13 votes on the poll from last night. Hmmm.
Tomorrow is Friday night and the request line is open, surely one or two of 13 would have a request?
Have a good night.

"Everybody doesn't like something, but nobody doen's like Sarah Lee."
I remember that ditty from when I was young. I loved her cheesecake.
In fact, I once saw this talk show, I don't remember which, maybe Phil Donahue, and he had this woman on who wrote a culinary collumn for a Chicago newspaper. She had a unique talent. She could taste something and tell you how to make it. She published articles revealing the recipes for McDonald's special sauce, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and Kentucky Fried Chicken--believe it or not, but it's Good Season's Italian dressing, Lipton tomatoe Cup-A-Soup, ground red pepper, two cups self-rising flour; coat the chicken with the mixture (do not dip in milk and eggs); melt a stick of butter in a deep dish aluminum pan; bake at 300 degrees. Col. Sanders never admitted what his 13 secret ingrediants are, but he did say that all of them are in that recipe. I've tried it, and it's pretty damn good.
Then she published the recipe for Sarah Lee's cheesecake. Sarah Lee sued the newspaper, claiming violation of trade secrets, and won. As a condition of the settlement, the reporter was fired. That's why she was on the talk show; it was the last time she gave out her recipes, but not Sarah Lee's of course.
Anyway, for Friday Night Entertainment, how about something alternative? Like Train, "He Soul Sister." Or if you want to go old school, I could return to form. Black Sabbath, "Killing Yourself to Live."
Hey Gawains!
I have your birthday in my planner for May 24th, is that correct?
SLE is at a cool spot, nudging a huge double top, but if it closes over $20, the upside gets VERY interesting. Grab a chart and do a daily, weekly, and monthly look and you will see what I mean.
That is correct. I'll turn the dreaded 50 next Tuesday.
I also happen to like Sarah Lee's bread, nice, thick, soft slices.
They make quality foods at reasonable prices, have name recognition and nation-wide distribution. That's the kind of company I would be investing in, if I played the stock market, one with a sound business model.
SLE, HRL, and HSY are long term holds for me, but SLE is setting up as a nice trade right here. Who does not like Hormel SPAM and chili, Hershey's chocolate, fugget about it!
I've never seen this group on your Friday Night lineup so they may be held in the same esteem as "the band that shall remain nameless".
But if not, would you consider The Cars 'Candy O' for Friday?

Watchtower,
I love the cars!! I think it could make the show....not like you and your brother's sick cars and engines.....sooooo jealous.
Yes, it rained all day.
You must be pleased! I would have been.
It was sunny here so this lazy bum had to actually mow his @#$%ing yard, lol. ;)
I forgot to vote in the actual poll! My bad.
I'm the only one who liked Sit and Spin? What does that MEAN?
Is it Friday already... the week has been a blur. Play something by the Cars. That sounds good. Great suggestion, Watchtower!
I think it means you are the only FRESHY here on this board JH. :)
Since the world is supposed to end on Saturday, how about "Rapture" by Blondie? ;-)
C-T,
thanks for swining by! I got your request just in time. Post up in a bit.
