Extra Time

I have a little extra time this evening so I am going to post some junk to fill the time.

Best Silver Chart
Longtime readers are aware that I think silver represents a killer investment for the medium to long term. The reasons are many, but you need to see this chart that Jesse had up today:

(click for larger view)
Taken together, the net short positions of the big banks would require over 160 days of silver production to settle. That is an amazing statistic. Want to get back at the big banks that have punched us all in the nose? Bust them via killing the paper silver market, take delivery of your silver. Of course we would have to bail them out again though!

Is it Real, or is it Memorex?
The rumors of some kind of government mortgage refinance plan are becoming real:
Rumors of News. News of Rumors
While yet another moral hazard joke handout to make anyone that never got in the real estate mess even more angry, the program as set up is not going to do much. Of course it is my stance that this is the next step to lube up the people for the big finale:
mortgage debt retirement via transfer large scale to taxpayers of bad debt while banks are made whole

How much? I will throw out 1.5 Trillion dollars as my guess. Any takers on the under or over? And no, nothing can really stop this from happening. Play again.

Tell Us How You Really Feel
My friend who runs The Housing Time Bomb has a great interview with Steve Wynn up tonight that is well worth a listen:
Steve Wynn Nails It!
I like that guy!

Other Stuff
Random stuff.....

-The best news I have heard in a while is that actress Jane Badler will play a role in the new TV series "V" next season. Mrs. Badler played the character of "Diana" in the original series, and she was a favorite of mine due to her fine acting skills (hee hee). She is also very easy on the eyes:

Bad girls are the best!

-Speaking of skateboards, I actually thought this scene was so cool back in the day:

Yes, that is Josh Brolin who went on to play Brand in "The Goonies" and Llewelyn Moss in "No Country for Old Men".

-This IS NOT Darth Vader:

It is the Sith Lord from the new Star Wars game, "The Old Republic". I think his character will be named Darth Malgus. Here is the newest trailer for the game, check out the laser vulcan cannon at the 1:27 mark:

So cool! I would pay big buck$$$$$ to see films made like this for the expanded universe.

-The NASCAR race tomorrow is at Watkins Glen in new York. This is a road course, which has many turns and elevation changes. For folks that hate "running in circles" this race is sure to please you! Keep an eye on #29 Kevin Harvick; he only qualified 20th but has practiced well and, well, he IS the best. Here is the track layout:

Worth a look!

Have a good night.

Just look at those eyes!

#29 only got 11th pace but I think we either ran out of gas on the last lap (right near the finish) or had a tire go down. Close call!

I did have a cook planned for today, but the mom in law just had to go to Legal Seafoods! The wife and I just had steamers and lobster rolls at the beach yesterday! What can you do.

Camera / Camcorder: The Droid X has a 8-megapixel camera, and we like them to grow higher, but in our experience running even just a
couple of jokes from today's indulgence. Ultimately it's a sexcam question of needs, and since you probably don't need more than six open tabs at a time, and every time you stray you're effectively
cropping the resulting image.
