Work Night

I thought the Superbowl was a reasonable game, a pretty fun one. The young Green Bay Packers looked like veterans with how calm they were as the Steelers came back hard in the game. Impressive win and they should be very good for a long time.

Great to see the Volkswagen Darth Vader kid commercial is the big winner so far!

Work Night
It is Monday night and that means I work my moonlighting job as a stock picker. I am off to The PPT and 12631 by iBankCoin to look for ideas for this week. I will update later if I see anything interesting.

Update 1:
Not much coming up on my screens. How can it be hard to find a stock in The Bernank market? Geez.

Update 2:
I am working on a couple ideas, but was way distracted by this blog post:
A Sign You're Getting Old
Well worth a look. I will be 35 NEXT MONTH!!!!!!! Ugh.

Have a good night.

My hubby just turned 35 last Saturday. Don't worry, you'll survive.

Remember: "Sir, the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1."

See...things could always be worse! :P

Hey Gawains,
I want to know WHY Sean Peyton moved his family to the Dallas area...????

Buddy, I'll be 50 in May. And it doesn't bother me a bit. Well, I'm not too wild about having to wear reading glasses, but you get used to them. And grey hair, hey, it's a sign of maturity, like the silver back on a mountain gorilla.

Age is a state of mind. You're only as old as the woman next to you feels. So give your wife a hug and tell her you love her. You'll feel young again.

As to Sean Payton moving to Dallas, it's a nice place to live. No state income tax, that sort of thing. Good schools, a growing economy--70% of the jobs created nationwide in the last ten years were created in Texas--freedom.

As Davy Crockett once famously said, "You can all go to hell. I'm going to Texas." That's what I'm talking about.

Dallas is only a hop and a skip from New Orleans, and I suppose they could be considered sister cities. It's funny, but San Antonio, where I'm from originally, is the sister city of New York. I meet people all the time who think I'm from . . . New York. I've never been there. I am Texan born and Texan bred, and when I die I'll be Texan dead.

People, or I should say foreigners, don't understand Texas. The name actually derives from an Indian word meaning "friend." We're the friendly state. Everyone is welcome here, as long as you don't go around causing problems--in which case, you'll probably get shot. (There are more guns than there are people in Houston, for example. And, seriously, I don't think anyone could conquer Texas without the use of nuclear weapons.)

Anyway, all this talk about Sean Payton moving to Dallas so he could become the GM of the Cowboys is bunk. He's got a good thing going with the Saints, and one hell of a quarterback. Why he would give that up to come work under Jerry Jones--whom I've come to despise--is beyond explanation. Most likely he's found a nice house in a good neighborhood and just wants to live there. If it were for any other reason, I would be shocked.

Oh, and by the way, I eat what I want, as much as I want, anytime I want. And I've gained maybe 15 pounds since I was a teenager. Go figure. It's the metabolism thing.
