The Best Thursday of All Time and The Best Day Ever

February 27th 2014 is a great day. My best day.

I have not felt fear, not real visceral fear, since I cannot remember. Maybe when I was in grade school.

Details don't matter and it's not for discussion, but a new lease on life was granted today. The most important person in my life since, well, all time, is fine and my best friend is ok.

Yes, my wife. My love. My passion and belief.
Have a good night.

Sounds frightening, but great to hear everything is ok.

Come my love and we shall wander
All of life to see and know
In the Season's lostward rambling
All things come and all things go

We'll climb up the snowy mountains
Sail across the rolling sea
We shall live for one another
I for you and you for me

We'll go down to green grass meadows
Where the cold winds never blow
If we taste the wine of loving
Only you and I shall know

Come my love and we shall wander
Just to see what we can find
If we only find each other
Still the journey's worth the time

Love is like a star of heaven
Burning in the endless sky
When it falls it bursts asunder
As it lives so shall it die

--Mason Williams

Give my best to your wife.

Jake,
yes, I had not slept nor really breathed until last night. Never felt so scared and alone.

Gawains,
no words, what a wonderful poem. Many thanks.

Well, I thought you needed it.

Mason Williams used to write for the Somther's Brothers, you know.

His only book of poetry, The Mason Williams Reading Matter, was the first book of poetry I ever read. He's different.

I thought you might need some reading matter, as Dylan Thomas is so depressing.

But, hey, give my best to your wife. Just understand that the journey you two took was to find each other, and that is all that matters.

Much love, and peace. I wish you, the two of you, all the best.

Gawains,
You really are what's best in people. Thanks so much.
