Delayed by Circumstance

Sometimes I feel like things are purposely put in the way of getting anything done! A quick story for tonight.

Delayed by Circumstance
After dinner yesterday the wife and I were going to drop her car off for some brake work today. Simple; we have been there numerous times and it should be a quick trip.

Except the dealership does not do "non-recall" repairs anymore; it has been converted to a 16 hour recall fixer joint. We were told to go to another facility nearby for the brake work but a letter, email, or call would have been good to have the new information. Whatever, things are crazy, I get it.

Tonight we go to pick up the car at the correct pace and of course there is some kind of a HAZ-MAT accident on the highway!!! I kid you not! On the southbound lanes there were many fire trucks, ambulances, and weird vehicles I had never seen fighting a fire in the back of a box truck with "Party Rentals" on the side. What kind of hazardous material was that!!??

We were so late we just got the car before close and then had dinner out to wait out the return clusterf$ck traffic. I just got in and it is quarter to eight. Unreal.

Safe to say no real time to get in a post, but I really mean to do one tomorrow. Lets see what else can happen!

Have a good night.

Sounds like you had a trying day, GYC. Something like mine.

Water deposits, for seven houses in three different cities. I hate water departments. Talk about an excercise in tediousness.

First, you have to go to this desk. There the girl directs you to the window, where you have to stand in line to get an application to fill out. Then you have to go back to the desk, where the girl calls the back office and you have to wait for them to see you. You walk into this office and another girl looks over the application, ititials it, then sends you back to the window, where you have to wait in line again to have your application processed and make the connection payment.

It's worse than the DMV.

Lt G,
I was checking the local news and you are the BINGO winner! I guess some tanks for drink machines went kaboom and the environmental cops were all over it. Unreal, good call!

Gawains,
if the girls are hot it may not be that bad!
Yeah I am a tad frustrated this week and still two days to go.

At least it wasn't about some naked guy at the side of the road yelling that he was Jesus.

Maybe that's just the Connecticut loonies! LOL

Have a good stiff one and put a post up tomorrow. We'll all be here.

Well, these girls weren't as hot as the weather outside. I'll tell you that for nothing.

Some water departments are worse than others, but there is no question that Sharyland is the absolute worst. Here's the thing. It isn't even a city, it's a freaking school district! But they have their own water department.

A couple of years ago, I had to go make a deposit. And they wouldn't let me. You want to know why? Because the owner of record on the substitute trustee's deed was Fannie Mae. And they wanted a driver's license for Fannie Mae. I am not kidding.

I kept telling them. I'm a realtor. I'm the agent for Fannie Mae. This house is owned by a corporation. It does not have a driver's license. Still, they would not accept mine.

We actually had to get the vice president of Fannie Mae--no, seriously--to send them an email stating that no one at Fannie Mae was going to provide them with a driver's license. Finally, they relented.

All this just to turn the water on for a vacant repossessed home.

And you're a tad frustrated?

GYSC

Would you consider playing a country song for Friday Night Vids?

EconomicDisconnect said...

Watchtower,
have you missed that many Friday nights? I grew up country music and would love to hear some!

Search:
garth brooks, kenny rogers, confederate railroad, john denver, cyrstal gail, johnny cash, patsy kline, and others have all made the show. Fire away!

How about Keith Whitley's 'I'm No Stranger to The Rain'?

The video is kind of cheezy but the song is pure gold IMO.

Few realize that party truck accident prediction requires complex calculations involving horsepower, coefficients of friction, center of gravity, turning radius, and braking power.

WARNING: Video link contains approximately 10 fully justified words of profanity of the s**t and f**k variety, lol.

AP today says there's good employment news and that "Americans' wealth rises for 4th straight quarter".

Do they just pull this stuff out of their asses?!?? I mean seriously, WTF?

Markets eatin it up though.

From Mark's post;
