Kevin Harvick Does Not Suck
My favorite NASCAR driver, #29 Kevin Harvick, has been about as bad as can be for about 2 years now. After dominating last week at Daytona, Harvick comes in second today in Fontana California. Not a bad start at all, I hope this continues!

The motion Rhoads is able to give the song and the drop dead solo at the 3:10 mark make this a top 5 song for me (watched the film High Fidelity today, LOL!).

I can't believe you found a copy of The Writ, GYC. That's one of my favorite Black Sabbath songs, and I think Sabotage is their best album.
I like all kinds of music, everything from Mozart to Bob Marley. But Black Sabbath got me through some hard, to be polite, freak times.

I had benn checking back for that tune every week and it finally popped up!! An excellent tune that shows how dynamic Sabbath was.
I was a 100% hair band 80's music lover and one day waiting for a White Lion video (LOL) in 1987 the video for the Ozzy/Randy Rhoads Tribute album song "Crazy Train" live comes on and I just sat there for about 20 minutes in shock at the beauty and magic of the sound. I had never heard anything like that before or since (IMO greatest live song ever). I got the tape and played it until it wore out, then bought 2 more and did the same. Even today I have a copy in the car, the house (3 copies) and 5 unopened just in case. As you said, the music got me through some really tough times.

Well, I woke up this morning and the water was turned off. Apparently they're working on the plumbing in the condos. So I couldn't shower or shave, and decided to take half a day off.
Read a couple of interesting articles on the web. Today is the first day of the new credit card law, which obviously means the customer gets screwed in favor of the lender.
This is why I paid off my Capital One Visa last year, closed the account and cut up the card. I now rely solely on my local First National Bank credit/debit card, the balance of which is what I deposit (currently a little over $7000). Since there is no interest and only a minimal transaction fee, I figured this was the way to go.

Credit is just another name for debt. Just as freedom is just another name for nothing left to lose.

The difference, of course, is that debt is something someone voluntarily, or more often involuntarily, enters into, whereas freedom is a God-given right.
The problem is that people confuse slavery for freedom.
When you have money--that is, when your money works for you, making money--you're free. When you work for money--someone else's money--you're a slave. All you can do is work.
I don't know about these new credit card regulations, and frankly I don't care. I don't have a credit or debt card. I carry a card which allows me to charge against an account of which I've already paid into. I'm not about to charge more than I have in the account. And I'm certainly not about to pay interest on money I don't have to do so.
This is a serious issue, and you would do well to address it, GYC. Money is freedom. Credit/Debt is slavery. It all depends on how you want to live, as a free man or a slave.
