YEAH!!!

If by some miracle my beloved Patriots make the Superbowl they should get The Undertaker to do a message and come out to his music at the game:

Well, at least Hulk Hogan won't be getting death threats for backing the favorites.

Ric Flair did. Yeah, he backed the 49ers over the Panthers, actually showed up in the locker room at San Francisco to give them a motivational speech, even though he's really from Carolina. That didn't sit well with Panthers' fans, and they let him know it. He's also being sued for failure to make post-separation payments, whatever that is.

To me, this is sad. Ric Flair was my favorite wrestler when I was a kid. I actually got to see him wrestle live once, at the gym in the high school. I even have Nature Boy Wooo! engraved on the inside of my UT graduation ring.

I also got see Andre the Giant wrestle live once, by the way. And I'm telling you, that man was a real giant. He walked right past me after the match. I came to his elbow.

Anyway, back to the point. That Ric Flair is a 49ers fan breaks my heart. I have a special hatred for the 49ers, that is only equaled by my hatred for the Redskins and the Eagles.

But this is the best weekend to be watching football, the divisional round of the playoffs. The conference round is largely inconsequential, as the eventual Super Bowl champion will be determined in these games.

Since my Cowboys are out of the picture, likely for the rest of my life, it's no longer about who I want to win. It's about who I want to lose.

So I'll take the Saints, the Chargers, and the Panthers. This Indianapolis at New England game is too tough to call. I like the Colts, but I don't hate the Patriots, so I don't care either way. I just doubt that Luck can beat Brady. So I'll have to go with the Partiots.

My idea of the perfect Super Bowl? New Orleans against New England. Now that would be a game.

Okay, that sucked. I am now officially on the hate Seattle bandwagon.

Your Patriots looked pretty damn good though, GYC. I had no idea that Belichick was only two playoff wins for breaking Tom Landry's all time record. And in only 14 years with New England, wow that is impressive. By the way, did you know that since Kraft bought the Patriots in 1994--that would be the same year that Jerry Jones drove off Jimmy Johnson and promptly proceeded to absolutely ruin my beloved Cowboys--New England has won more football games, more playoff games, and more Super Bowls than any other team in the league? Talk about a changing of the guard. And Kraft doesn't even have a gay mega-palace to brag about.

I'll stick with the Chargers and the Panthers though, mainly because I really don't want to sit through the 49ers-Seahawks in the championship as I now hate both of those teams and I don't want either one to make it to the Super Bowl. And I would really rather not see Manning vs. Brady in the Super Bowl. To me, that would seem anti-climatic.

Panthers choked and the Chargers are aweful as of right now. Denver vs New England next week.

Yep, looks that way.

I don't think Denver can take New England, but it's going to be a good game.

As far as the 49ers and the Seahawks go, is there any way for both teams to lose a football game? Just give the Lombardi to the AFC Champion by default.

What??? I would say both the NFC finalists are way better than the AFC ones. Hoping the over matched Patriots can find a way to win next week, but Seattle or San Fran are way better teams.

They may be better teams, but I still hate them and want them to lose.

It's hard to say. San Francisco has been to three consecutive conference championship games, and won the last one. That gives them an edge over Seattle.

I give the edge to New England over Denver. But that is going to be a game.
