I recommended this book to my mother. She's a feak for men with guns. (I have two.)
Lately, she's been on this 87th Precinct binge. I bought her this Boston Library book bag from Levenger for her birthday a couple of years ago, and now she goes to the library lugging home with like 20 books at a time. She reads one a day, you know. Last week she come back from the library with 15 87th precinct books.
Try to wrap your mind around this. She's the sweetest, kindest, most honest and generous woman you'll ever meet. But when she's not working, she's reading books about serial killers.
Think about that that. It's so warped, but it's been this way all of my life. When I was in high school, she and my sister went on this serial killer book binge, and every morning at breakfast they would talk about their nightmares. Um, excuse me, I'm trying to eat here.
Even today, I'll go over to her condo and yell upstairs, hey, mother, you want to watch a movie?
"I don't have time to watch a stupid movie."
It's about a serial killer.
"I'll be right down."
This is my life, and it's insane. I live next door to the most successful businesswoman in South Texas, and she's obsessed with serial killers.
Watchtower and Gawains, no joke, this book is quite a few levels above most anything I have read in a while. On par with Jack Finney's 'Time and Again' and McCarthy's 'Blood Meridian'. Get a copy or I can send you one.

"Buy this book: Gun Machine"
Done. It looks like it's going to be awesome.
Now do me a favor GYSC and check out Hugh Howey's WOOL

It has a 5 star rating at Amazon with over 3000 reviews.
It sounds like Ridley Scott is going to make a movie of it.
