Side Tracked

I am so sore today. Deck staining is for younger and/or in better shape people than I. Home late after dropping cars off for service.

Side Tracked
I did have an outline for a post ready for tonight. Another down day and things are setting up for a real move down, as predicted here. It is so funny but in 3 days of selling more and more come out of the woodwork saying they saw it all along. Really? Must have missed those posts.

Another thing to keep in mind: After 2 years of the never ending Bernanke Melt Up Market many hedge funds and traders look like brilliant craftsmen. If we get a prolonged move down or more sideways action, pay attention to returns in that environment. What may have been smarts could just be trend riding. Great traders and market operators do well in all markets, not just straight up or down ones.

Anyone seen the stock OMEX as of late? I still own some at $3 and it is over $4 now, HA! Buy and hold is not dead. It actually looks good enough to add some here, I will have to see.

Anyways, as I am sidetracked I will put up random stuff.

My favorite part of the film "Glory" on YouTube. Walking out to go after the Confederate Base in South Carolina, the men of the 54th Regiment are cheered on by the same men that were against having them in the army at first (switches to some home made thing at the 1:00 minute mark though):

"GIVE EM HELL 54th!"

Have a good night.

  1. Even a know-nothing like me is starting to get pretty afraid of where the markets are heading. Might be time to leave planet Earth for a little while . . .

Hey, your Karate Kid clip has a malfunction. It ended just before the good part! (heh, heh)

And . . . SHALL WE PLAY A GAME? Probably the scariest last words you'll hear when the metal ones come for you. And they will. Hope you have your Old Glory robot insurance.

  6. The "Karate Kid" theme song that played during the tournament ("You're the Best Around") got stuck on repeat for some reason on my iPod today, and my iPod was in the backseat of my car. When I saw your post, I could not stop laughing :-)

  7. Hey, me too KLo! Well, it didn't get stuck, but I was playing that song on iTunes while working out today after work. It sure does get you going, doesn't it? :)

  8. Wow, I am graced by a Klo visit! Good times! Love that tune while the film goes on! Second place to "Burning Heart" in Rocky 4.
