I don't know, more music would be my vote. Maybe something like Jackson Brown, "Running on Empty." Seems to be about the state of the economy right now.
Or some Black Sabbath, "Rock 'N Roll Doctor."
Or some Kiss, "Room Service."
Or some Rolling Stones, "All Down the Line."
Or some AC/DC, "Up To My Neck In You."
I'm an old 70s guy, but I like all kinds of music. It's just that, you know, the bands you listen to when you're 16 stay with you for the rest of your life.
You might throw out some Supertramp, "The Logical Song."
Or some Head East, "Never Been Any Reason."
Or some Lynyrd Skynyrd, "What's Your Name."
Or if you want to get real country, some Meryl Haggard, "Luckenbach, Texas."
Or Johnny Cash, "Folsum Prison."
Whatever. By the way, we got a notice today from Fannie Mae. They're getting real serious about foreclosure sales. If a buyer is an investor and misrepresents himself as an owner occupant, it's a $10,000 fine plus legal expenses. An owner occupant must certify that he intends to live in the home for at least a year.
Wow. No more flipping houses. I'll send you my thoughts on this whole foreclosure crisis later this weekend. Yves Smith and Karl Denninger have been doing yeoman's work on the topic. But they don't work in the industry.
How about something timely to November and to your economic posts like your take on the idea that the JFK assassination was by British bankers because he wanted to dial back the federal reserves role. http://www.masterjules.net/jfkhit.htm Starts getting interesting in the paragraph starting, "So get it right...."
Something like all 80's music one Friday night, or all hair bands, or all punk, or all metal, or all country, or maybe 'most embarrasing' songs that you hate to admit that you like, or...well you get the picture.
GYSC, I have a biotech question (at least I think it's a biotech question).
The wife and I went and seen this exhibit called 'BODIES...The Exhibition' at St Louis a few weeks ago and they had a sign up explaining that (I'm going from memory here, so this probably isn't perfectly correct) all the human genomes(?) had been identified and that scientist are currently working on tailoring a cure (for whatever disease one might have) for a person based on their individual genetic makeup.
If this is so, do you have any guess as to when there might be some significant progress in this area?

ReplyDeleteGawains, looks like quite the list!
ReplyDeleteTP,
That is quite the can of worms!
How about a themed Friday Night music special?
