I will be having some work done on the kitchen next week and today I had errands to get done before meeting with the contractor tomorrow evening. No time to get anything done writing wise, so it will be Thursday before I post. Leave snide remarks, questions, or ideas I can steal in the comments section until then.
NOTE:
Had to add this one! Two girls in Harvard Square here in the Boston area cannot even sell a silver ounce for 25 cents. Lucky I was not around that day!:
Too funny.
Have a good night.
there is a similar video when a guy tries to sell an ounce of gold for $50 bucks, and then $20.
ReplyDeletei probably wouldn't give that girl $5 for silver - with the trenchcoat and all. but i'd give her 50c for sure.
KD,
ReplyDeleteif she was a bit cuter I may offer some coin involving the trenchcoat, HA!
Dave, nice find over there, had to use it.
i was actually wondering what would have happened if she was cuter, and dressed sluttier. i mean, my first reaction was that she'd make some sales, but then i thought that might make people even MORE suspicious!
ReplyDeleteOk dudes, all's back to bitchin' now.

Sedintary,
ReplyDeletewell I feel much better now!
Video is interesting. If the sh*t hits the fan, my one worry with having my wealth stored in metals is what happens if you are somewhere, in desperate need of say a car ride and no one there recognizes the value of what you have?
ReplyDeleteIn a fiat system, someone may give you a ride for $20, but because of the illiquidity of metals (as evidenced by that video), it may be 3,4,5 even 10 ounces of silver to get that same car ride.
Sure, in a fluid market, silver would be trading for its FMV, but in a remote location, where you are in desperate need of something, prepare to pay through the nose!
The only thing better would have been if someone gave her a dollar and told her to keep the silver thing.
